My background in international financial services over 34 years has provided me with decades of company management experience and the tactical tools to add value to your bottom line.
Background and experience
I moved to the Cayman Islands in 1999 and became the Executive Assistant to a Partner of an international law firm. After an MBO of the Fiduciary Services business of that firm, I continued working for that Partner who became the Managing Director of the spun-out private equity-owned company. We worked together for a total of 18 years.
Supporting the Managing Director in the day to day running of the office, including the preparation of documents and direct liaison with blue chip fund manager, banking and corporate clients on ongoing statutory maintenance of their books and records through to issuing invoices and liaising with clients for payment.
Management responsibilities included:
- Co-ordinating with the other international jurisdictions to satisfy their local Cayman Islands requirements, including liaising with instructing fee earners in the overseas offices relating to transactions.
- Co-ordinating with global management on implementation of the company’s policies and procedures, and maintaining and updating all policies and procedures for the Cayman office.
- Setting up and preparation and circulation of board packs for quarterly internal board meetings and attending meetings to take minutes.
I have developed a pleasantly persistent way of working ensuring good governance for and on behalf of clients and my employer are observed at all times. I’m capable of working alone and with teams using my strong organisational skills to complete complex tasks with multiple stakeholders.
